JeffCo Express gets MACDDS
"2010 Cutting Edge Award"
JeffCo Express of Barnhart, MO was recognized as a 2010 recipient of the “Cutting Edge” award in the category of Supported Employment Services at the annual meeting of the Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities Services (MACDDS) in October. MACDDS, a statewide organization, works to shape public policy and practice for people with developmental disabilities.
This prestigious statewide award is presented to only one organization in each of the following categories each year and is based on the following criteria:
• Programs are unique, inclusive, person centered, respectful and dignified;
• Lead to more interdependence or independence; and
• Promote a learning culture in which creativity, innovation and risk taking are supported and where staff feel empowered to provide excellent supports.
